No one can tell you how much I love the style and approach of this lady. She’s my inspiration. My top 3 artists of all time. She is making more impressions than I’m sure she ever imagined and this is why:

The other night I had the pleasure of seeing her live at the Somerset House series concerts. A moment i’ll never forget. I can’t express how her music has changed me. I don’t think I want to. All i know is when I hear, see or read things about her I’m left feeling like everything is as it’s meant to be. Things happen for a reason and life goes on…

I’m so proud of her achievements and hope that she is awarded the Mercury Prize this year.

Here’s what she had to say:

“I’m really pleased to be nominated with this record. ‘The Sea’ is an album I wrote alone and co-produced, it was all on my shoulders. It has been great for me to be touring the world with this album, seeing a positive reaction to it and getting recognition from the Mercury Prize team means a lot to me.”

The overall winner of the Mercury Music Prize will be announced on Tuesday 7th September.
